Portable but powerful
DSLRs take some amazing shots but they don’t do your back any favours, having to cart not only a load of extra kit and lenses around, but that big bulky camera too. Canon has taken pity on poor photographers though, outing the 100D – billed as the world’s smallest and lightest DSLR. It weighs just over 400g, but still packs a whopping 18-megapixel CMOS sensor with all the manual controls camera-folk have got used to. It’s available from all good camera shops for Dh3,400.
