I’ve been told that to make ice cream that tastes shop bought, I need an ice cream maker. Do you agree? Can you please share a recipe for a creamy chocolate ice cream that doesn’t need an ice cream maker? Also, I need to make the recipe without using eggs

Ice cream machines are a luxury and they cost a lot. They do give the desired result, but you can make an equally good ice cream without them. Here’s a simple recipe that uses just three ingredients:

Mix together 150ml of sweetened condensed milk and 3 tbsp of cocoa powder until well combined. Whisk 250ml of double cream in a food processor with a chilled bowl and a chilled whisk attachment until soft peaks form. Remove the bowl from the food processor and pour in the cocoa mixture. Fold in gently to ensure the whipped cream does not lose its volume.

Transfer the mixture into an airtight container and cover with plastic wrap. Freeze for at least six hours or overnight. Simple!
