WHERE? Plaza Athénée, Paris, France WHAT? Classed amongst the world’s priciest edibles, La Bonnotte potato – which nearly became extinct between the WorldWars – is cultivated exclusively on the French Isle of Noirmoutier. With an annual production of around 20,000kg, the potatoes retail at around €70 (approx Dh350) per kg.
