SKIN: Start with an oil-free primer to min­imise shine. Ap­ply a medium- to full-cov­er­age foun­da­tion, stip­pling it with a make-up sponge, then ap­ply a cor­rec­tive con­cealer and set ev­ery­thing with loose pow­der.

CHEEKS: Gen­er­ously ap­ply a bright, red­dish-pink blush, con­cen­trat­ing the colour on the ap­ples of the cheek, blend­ing it up on to the cheek­bones.

EYES: Cre­ate a softer smoky eye with a nude-toned pal­ette. Use a taupe brown shadow in the crease and a lighter nude all over the lid. Cre­ate a winged flick with a liq­uid liner. Start at the cor­ner of the eye, draw­ing a 1cm-long di­ag­o­nal line to­wards the eye­brow. Then care­fully draw along the lash line, fill­ing in any gaps as you go.

BROWS: Use the same kit and tech­nique from the day look to fur­ther de­fine the brow, be­ing slightly more gen­er­ous with the amount of colour used.

LIPS: Change up your look by night with a bold and bright matte colour. Use a lip primer to help seal and make the lip­stick last longer.
