What’s your favourite kind of music? It varies, but I flit between jazz and house, and everything in between. Music you listen to while working? As a furniture and accessories designer, I work closely with my tailors and carpenter. My studio is above the carpentry workshop so the cacophony of saw, drill and chatter is music. I combine this with some Billie Holiday, Nina Simone and Édith Piaf. Song that captures the essence of your designs? The soundtrack of the movie Amélie. My designs are very personal; they’re happy little anecdotes from my world. Musician you’d like to design for? Iggy Azalea. She has a childlike quality to her wild nature, dabbling in different cultures in her music and videos – from Bollywood to the Wild West.
