I think so. The com­mon per­cep­tion about In­dian food is that it is rich and creamy and all the taste comes from the amount of ghee and cream that goes into it. That is not true. Home­cooked In­dian food is very dif­fer­ent from what we get in restau­rants. My books, I would think, have helped in cre­at­ing aware­ness about the fact that home-cooked cur­ries are all about bal­ance be­tween flavours that come from spices and herbs and tex­tures. So it is pretty whole­some.
