Bak­ing time: 10-12 mins Ingredients 80g but­ter 120g sugar 1 tsp vanilla essence 1 egg 130g flour 1 1/2 tsp salt pinch bi­car­bon­ate of soda 80g dark cho­co­late chips Method 1. Pre­heat oven to 180°C. Line and grease a bak­ing sheet. 2. Cream but­ter and sugar to­gether un­til light and fluffy. Add vanilla essence and egg and mix. Sift dry ingredients to­gether twice be­fore adding to wet ingredients. Mix to form a soft dough, then fold in cho­co­late chips. Roll dough into 20 balls, place on pre­pared bak­ing sheet and bake for 10-12 min­utes or un­til golden. Cool cook­ies on a wire rack then serve.
