O ne of my pas­sions in life is cook­ing and it is some­thing I en­joy do­ing par­tic­u­larly on days off and hol­i­days, when I can spend more time in the kitchen. So when I came to know about sea­son three through Fri­day’s Face­book page, I de­cided I must par­tic­i­pate.

For the au­d­tion, I pre­pared smoked bone­less chicken – one of my favourite dishes, which is a big hit with fam­ily and friends – with shred­ded potato cut­lets and straw­berry rel­ish. Chef Ak­shay liked my rel­ish.

Al­though I’m con­fi­dent of my abil­i­ties, I wasn’t sure what my chances were be­cause of the large num­ber of par­tic­i­pants. But I was thrilled when I was selected as a fi­nal­ist! I love ex­per­i­ment­ing with new in­gre­di­ents, recipes and tech­niques and it’s my dream to make my own recipe book.
