Iftar Central Buffet onthe 24th Floor, Dusit Thani Dubai

Friday - - IFTAR REVIEWS - Mark Setchfield

B eing fairly new to Dubai this is my first Ramadan and I chose to experience iftar with my friend Nick 24 floors above Shaikh Zayed Road. The lift doors opened straight on to a huge circular buffet bringing together cuisines from the hotel’s restaurants Benjarong (Thai), Pax (Italian) and The Californian (International). The choice was vast but we found the usual fare of tabbouleh, stuffed vine leaves and dried fruits too. The centre piece of the buffet was a whole roasted lamb served on a bed of rice. During Ramadan Dusit Thani Dubai is donating a percentage of the price paid by every diner to Operation Smile, a UAE-based charity that provides financial assistance to children with facial deformities so they can undergo constructive surgery and have after-care treatments. Dh145 per adult, Dh75 per child aged seven to 12. For reservations call 04 343 3333 or visit www.dusit.com.
