So far, so spa
In my fridge I have a gold face mask that I wear once a week. It’s meant to keep wrinkles at bay and plump up my skin. I also regularly have diamond dust, caviar, honey and even snake venom rubbed, scrubbed and daubed on my face in my bid to keep looking young. Facials, I decided when I was still an impoverished student, are not a luxury. They’re an essential.
By exfoliating, extracting, moisturising and using the latest cosmetic products and tricks I can try to look my best without resorting to Botox, surgery or layers of make-up. So far, so spa! And I’m lucky that part of my – and the Friday team’s – job, is to test out the treatments and products on offer at spas in the UAE. Yes it’s tough, but I’ll happily do it!
For this week’s spa special, the entire Friday gang (both men and women) have put facials and massages to the test so you’ll know which ones are the very best. Turn to the feature on page 64 for the low-down.
See you (fresh-faced) next week!
