The article ‘Living in a box’ (August 8) made for a very interesting Friday morning read. The level of creativity brought into construction by Arjun Menon is truly commendable, and it is evidently a very novel and green idea that can find use in numerous construction sites around the world.
This concept of converting discarded shipping containers into living spaces can also change the look and feel of neighbourhoods for the better, with its colours and general ambience. The pictures in the article prove this. Personally, being a go-green supporter, I am gladdened by the Smart Box concept.
Kudos to Arjun. And I hope to see him take this concept around the globe.

The article, ‘Living in a box’ that talks about converting shipping containers into homes and offices has great relevance in today’s times when there is a shortage of affordable housing.
I believe it is a win-win trend as it will provide not only cheaper living options but is environment-friendly as well. I hope authorities across the world recognise Arjun Menon’s efforts and provide him with the necessary encouragement.

You’re right. Novel ideas like these are definitely the way forward. Karen, editor
Thank you for the feature on Hannah Christmas (‘I was told I was mentally ill... but it was extreme PMS’, August 8). Having suffered myself for several years, I only discovered the condition after a great deal of research on the internet. I hope this article helps other women who suffer every month. Understanding this condition has made such a positive impact and the support from my husband has been amazing.
By having hormone treatment, vitamins, a healthy diet and most importantly regular exercise, I have been able to improve the quality of my life considerably.

I’m glad, Linda, that you’ve found a solution to your condition, and thank you for sharing it with us. It will help a lot of women who’ve been suffering from the same problem.
The article ‘The man without the mask’ (August 8) was not only an incredible read but an eye-opener as well. In today’s world, where good looks have become vital in order to be successful, especially when it comes to the glamour and film industry, it is refreshing and humbling to come across a person like Adam Pearson.
Here is a man who is not really bothered by his physical appearance, and has in fact turned it into his strength, compelling people to look at his acting talent instead of his looks. People like Adam inspire others and push them to realise their potential.
