25g cornflakes, lightly crushed 480g flaked almonds, crushed 100g glacé cherries, chopped 100g sultanas, chopped 30g mixed candied peel, chopped 170ml condensed milk 100g dark or milk chocolate 1 Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line baking trays with greaseproof paper. 2 In a bowl, combine the cornflakes, almonds, cherries, sultanas and candied peel with the condensed milk. 3 Place spoonfuls of the mixture on the baking trays, leaving space between them for spreading. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the florentines are golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. 4 Melt the chocolate in a pan over gentle heat and dip the cooled florentines into chocolate to cover one side. Place chocolate-side up on a wire rack to set.
