25g corn­flakes, lightly crushed 480g flaked al­monds, crushed 100g glacé cher­ries, chopped 100g sul­tanas, chopped 30g mixed can­died peel, chopped 170ml con­densed milk 100g dark or milk choco­late 1 Pre­heat the oven to 180°C. Line bak­ing trays with grease­proof pa­per. 2 In a bowl, com­bine the corn­flakes, al­monds, cher­ries, sul­tanas and can­died peel with the con­densed milk. 3 Place spoon­fuls of the mix­ture on the bak­ing trays, leav­ing space between them for spread­ing. Bake for 10-12 min­utes, or un­til the florentines are golden brown. Re­move from the oven and al­low to cool. 4 Melt the choco­late in a pan over gen­tle heat and dip the cooled florentines into choco­late to cover one side. Place choco­late-side up on a wire rack to set.
