Afghanistan – making learning fun is a great achievement anywhere, even more so there!

Friday - - Letters - AMNA REHMAN, DUBAI

Itotally agree with Karen Pasquali Jones when she said she cannot wait for schools to reopen (‘Back-to-school phews’, August 29). It’s funny how we, the parents, long for the summer vacation the whole year but after months of holiday, can’t wait for the break to be over and go back to the routine that we generally loathe. There is no doubt that we love our children but when a school break means discipline, order, pattern and eventually harmony going out of the window, life is disturbed. Now I’ll appreciate weekends and small breaks more than ever.
