She was so brave. Thank goodness for people like Mamta.

Friday - - Letters - NIVEDITA ROSHAN, DUBAI ANNET CECIL THOMAS, DUBAI

Gauri Khan might well be married to a superstar and has enough wealth and power to last a lifetime, but in her interview with Friday she came across as somebody who is still very down to earth (‘The design queen’, September 5) . She proves that if we are willing to put in 100 per cent into our dreams then nobody can stop us from achieving our goals.

Ithought the article ‘Let my daughter be a tomboy’ (August 29) was really interesting. Although I prefer my Barbie dolls, I have friends who don’t, and I think each child has the right to choose whether he or she decides to be a tomboy or strictly feminine.

I’m glad Ruby has the confidence to wear a Spider-Man outfit to a princess party – it shows she is comfortable with her own personality.
