he Onederworld is the sustainable village community programme that has education at its heart and is backed by furniture store chain The One.

Thomas Lundgren, CEO and his staff at The Onederworld, started by developing one school in Kenya and two in India. The aim of the initiative is to build 99 schools in six years.

“I was not interested in charity; for me it’s not enough to just give money and sit back,” says Thomas. “I decided to take the advice of a friend, American philanthropist and photographer Bobby Sager, who said, ‘Be selfish; go and help somebody’.

“The idea was not just to teach a needy person to fish, but also how to sell the fish.” He adds, “The story was timely and we are now looking at developing schools across the world.” Find the full story at http://bit. ly/1zR4Py1
