Q AI want to eat more healthily but I don’t know where to start. Are there any recipes that can be used as a base and then be adapted, such as an easy stir-fry? Stir-fry­ing is a great op­tion for any­one start­ing out on a healthy eat­ing regime, as you can adapt it to what­ever you have in the fridge.

Stir-fry­ing is a quick way to cook so you must have your in­gre­di­ents pre­pared be­fore­hand – you don’t want to take the pan off the heat while you chop a pep­per as the items al­ready in the pan will be­come soggy.

To make a tasty chicken stir-fry, first heat 1 tbsp of sesame oil in a large deep fry­ing pan or wok. When it is very hot, add 1 chopped chicken breast and stir-fry for about 2 min­utes. Re­move from the pan. Next, add chopped onion, gar­lic and ginger and fry for 1 minute. Add chopped veg­eta­bles such as pep­pers, broc­coli and mush­rooms, fry for 1 minute then re­turn the chicken to the pan. Next add 1 tbsp of soy sauce and stir-fry for 1 minute.
