PIERCHIC, MADINAT JUMEIRAH AL QASR

-

As far as exceptional iftars go, you can’t beat the experience of dining over the water, watching the sun set over the waves as the nearby Burj Al Arab’s sparkly lights come on. Where else but at the iconic Pierchic can you do it?

For Ramadan, the award-winning restaurant has given sustainably sourced seafood a finger-licking good Arabian spin. Setting the marine mood with fishnet-like chandeliers, every dish on the set menu has a quirky seafood-fusion element to it, starting with the decadent fattoush with baby squid and cuttlefish ink, and the massive grilled tiger prawns with sumac, garlic aioli and lime. The hummus mixed with pine nuts and tuna belly and baba ganoush are no run-off-the mill either. Perfectly cooked and delicately spiced mixed seafood grill and seafood machboos make up the mains while the tasting dessert platter of baklava, Turkish delight, Umm Ali and sticky date and toffee pudding end a chic evening on a sweet high. Dh270 per person. Call 04 432 3232.
