SPICY PIZZA WITH BEEF BACON
Prep time 40 mins Cooking time 15 mins Makes 1 5g dried yeast 350g strong white flour, plus regular flour to work the dough 1 tsp salt 100ml crème fraîche 1 tbsp freshly chopped herbs 1 egg yolk 2 red onions, thinly sliced 100g beef bacon, sliced 6-8 pickled green chillies 2 tbsp olive oil Dissolve the yeast in 175ml lukewarm water and knead with the flour and salt into a smooth dough. Cover and leave in a warm place for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 220°C and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper. Knead the dough on a floured surface, roll out into an oblong shape and place on the tray. Mix crème fraîche with herbs and yolk until smooth. Season with salt and black pepper, and spread over the dough, leaving a narrow edge. Arrange onions, beef bacon and chillies on top, season with black pepper and drizzle with oil. Bake until golden brown and serve hot.
