During the weekends I love kicking back and watching movies with my son. Mughal-EAzam is that one movie I can watch over and over again. Also the music in it is brilliantly composed, with every word having meaning to it. THE WRITE WAY I don’t really get a chance to read now. But when I do, I read a lot of philosophical Hindi-Urdu literature by Munshi Premchand; poetry by Punjabi poet Bulleh Shah, Sufi poet Amir Khusro and the 15th-century Indian poet Kabir. Other than music, I’m very passionate about writing. SOUL FOOD I love simple, homecooked food. I also love to cook for my family. Whenever I get the time you’ll find me in the kitchen preparing my signature dishes – aloo jeera (potatoes sautéed with cumin) and masala bhindi (spicy okra).
