Jewellery boutique owner Duha Al Ramadhan talks pasta, poetry and Instagram.

I graduated with a degree in industrial engineering. One day, out of the blue, I wondered what would happen if I started my own jewellery business. I noticed fine jewellery in the Kuwaiti market was lacking; I couldn’t find any of my favourite brands such as Anita Ko, CVC Stones, and Venyx. Aubade was founded with the idea of bringing all of my favourite international brands to Kuwait. Once the business took off, it put a halt to my engineering career.

I travel a lot for work but try to keep my trips short so I’m not away from the kids too long. But I do enjoy the trips, and love visiting Dubai as it’s lively, colourful and multicultural.
