Start­ing March 12, Emi­rates is launch­ing a new daily flight from Dubai to Newark Lib­erty In­ter­na­tional Air­port, via Athens. This gives trav­ellers an­other route op­tion to the New York met­ro­pol­i­tan area, as well as a non-stop daily trip be­tween Greece and the US. A Boe­ing 777-300ER will be used for the route, with eight seats in first class, 42 in busi­ness and 304 in econ­omy.

Emi­rates is also launch­ing a third daily flight to Kenya’s cap­i­tal, Nairobi. The air­craft used for this flight is also a three-class 777-300ER. The new flight launches on June 1 and in­creases the air­line’s fre­quency to Kenya to 21 flights a week.

Eti­had Air­ways is dou­bling its daily flights to Düs­sel­dorf, Ger­many, through a code-share with part­ner car­rier Air Ber­lin. Start­ing March 26, trav­ellers will have a new mid-morn­ing de­par­ture from Abu Dhabi and an overnight re­turn op­tion from Düs­sel­dorf. The ex­tra daily fre­quency will pro­vide fur­ther con­nec­tions to pop­u­lar des­ti­na­tions in­clud­ing Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Sydney, Mum­bai and Delhi.

Eti­had – which last month an­nounced that CEO James Ho­gan is leav­ing the air­line in the sec­ond half of the year – is adding a third daily flight on the Abu DhabiBen­galuru route from March 26. The two-class Air­bus 321 has a late-night de­par­ture from Abu Dhabi, and early morn­ing ser­vice from Ben­galuru.

Nice is get­ting closer with Qatar Air­ways’ new di­rect flights from July 4 – five flights a week from Doha to Nice Côte d’Azur air­port.
