Who runs through Shar­jah? Girls! At the Shar­jah Ladies Run to­day women aged 12 and above can par­tic­i­pate in the 5km and 10km races. The race starts from Sky­line Univer­sity at Shar­jah Univer­sity City and lasts from 6pm-9pm. The 5km run has a par­tic­i­pa­tion fee of Dh100, and Dh160 for the 10km run, in­clu­sive of a cer­tifi­cate and goody bag. Sign up on­line at slc.ae.

Find Nemo – and plenty of other species of fish – at the Shar­jah Aquar­ium Car­ni­val. Un­til Fe­bru­ary 26 from 5.30pm-10pm daily, there’ll be aquatic-themed en­ter­tain­ment, the­atri­cal per­for­mances, visual dis­plays and work­shops where you can learn about the UAE’s ma­rine life and meth­ods of con­ser­va­tion. Life-size mod­els of sharks and sea­horses, and bub­ble ma­chines and aquatic sounds will recre­ate the mys­tery of the deep blue in the Shar­jah Aquar­ium at Al Khan. En­trance fee of Dh15 for chil­dren aged two-12 years and Dh25 for adults and chil­dren 13 years and above.

Fi­nally, Syr­ian singer As­sala (be­low) and Egyp­tian star Ang­ham per­form at Al Ma­jaz Am­phithe­atre to­day at 9pm, with tick­ets from Dh150 at tick­et­mas­ter.ae.
