The Mall at World Trade Cen­ter Abu Dhabi is host­ing a Pre-loved Sto­ries and Book Fair in part­ner­ship with Wanna Read?, a char­ity led by Shaikha Shamma Bint Sul­tan Bin Khal­ifa Al Nahyan. The ini­tia­tive that’s cel­e­brat­ing the Year of Giv­ing will see book do­na­tion boxes placed at the mall’s Ma­grudy’s store un­til April 5 so you can drop in books you no longer need. Th­ese books will then be avail­able to pur­chase at the Pre-loved Sto­ries and Book Fair tak­ing place from April 13-15. Ara­bic au­thors such as Nairoz Al Tan­bouli, Salma Khamis Al Reza­iqi and Ma­jid Sokar will con­duct read­ings at the fair and an­swer fans’ ques­tions.

Dubai’s book­worms should drop by the Read­ing Box space at City Walk 2. Held un­der the theme of ‘A gen­er­a­tion reads. A civil­i­sa­tion rises’, in sup­port of the Na­tional Month of Read­ing in March, the ini­tia­tive in­cludes a book ex­hi­bi­tion, work­shops, in­ter­ac­tive pan­els and read­ing ses­sions fea­tur­ing writ­ers, poets, pub­lish­ers and artists and book sign­ings for chil­dren.
