NEW AND IMPROVED
The Four Seasons Hotel New York is back after a $120 million (about Dh440.7 million) renovation, and the revamped suites are awash in luxury. The modern-deco hotel that has been integral to the Big Apple skyline now has suites that have been remodelled with handmade king-sized lighted-pedestal beds, furnishings made from rare Japanese tamo ash, and custom-woven wool carpets and hand-knotted rugs. The 368 newly designed studios and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Central Park and Madison Avenue.
The bathrooms give the rest of the rooms a run for their money with fittings of Italian Breccia Oniciata marble, glass-enclosed showers, deep-soaking tubs, jacuzzi and Bulgari amenities. Did we mention the sycamore closets with separate make-up area that Carrie Bradshaw would envy? Fourseasons. com/newyork.
