Setting my alarm clock at the weekend never happens. But I was keen not to miss the last Farmers’ Market on the Terrace in Business Bay. The market was bustling, the weather was hot so I headed to the lemonade stall. I picked some eggs and bread, which were so fresh and tasty, and some organic aubergines. When I reached home I grilled the aubergines, toasted the bread and topped it with artichokes and sun-dried tomatoes. Delicious! Mark Setchfield, art editor Have you seen Abu Dhabi at 5.30am? You should. It’s worth the effort of waking up before sunrise, I learnt last weekend. It’s serene and soothing to drive through sleepy cityscapes at dawn – without the rush, traffic and masses of humanity, it has an other-worldly quality. The morning light makes for great pictures, like this one I took of Shaikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
