Sharmila Kamte of Sharmila Dance Company reveals her weekend plans, including why she would like to take King Kong out to dinner.

My memories of my elder brother Ashok are precious to me. He was a highranking police officer in Mumbai and lost his life in the crossfire during the 2008 terrorist attacks. He was a very special person and had a lot to do with who I am today. He influenced me to excel in sports – I’m into tennis, gymnastics and basketball – to respect myself and to work hard. I looked up to him.

I’m originally from New Delhi, India, and moved here over 20 years ago. I never left, and Dubai is now home.
