There’s al­most a month to go be­fore schools of­fi­cially close for sum­mer, but Splash ’n’ Party, the chil­dren’s wa­ter park in Jume­riah, is of­fer­ing a respite to kids who are rest­less to get into va­cay mode with the End of School Carnival on May 21. Here’s a new chil­dren’s musical that’s out of this world: Rob­bie’s

Su­per­sonic Rocket, a musical that ex­plores the six-year-old Rob­bie and his cat Moggy’s ad­ven­tures on Planet Zod takes place to­day and to­mor­row at the Hart­land In­ter­na­tional School, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai. Based on Bri­tish writer Hazel Hiles’ il­lus­trated chil­dren’s book, this pro­duc­tion fea­tures seven orig­i­nal songs. Tick­ets from Dh90 at plat­inum­list.net.

Ac­tive kids can still en­joy the out­doors this sum­mer with Aven­tura’s night ses­sions. The zip-lin­ing park in Dubai is open un­til 10pm ev­ery Thurs­day, Fri­day and Satur­day un­til mid-June;.
