SURF’S UP IN OMAN

Friday - - Travel -

Bali, Hawaii and Australia personify the ultimate surfing holiday but Oman has inched its way onto the surf turf – the UAE’s neighbour has a natural groundswell from the Indian Ocean. Dubai-based watersports company Fahrenheit Beachsports organises surf trips and tours in the small seaside town of Aseelah. Called Aloha Arabia, the trips are tailor-made to suit guests’ itineraries and surfing skills, and range in duration from three to five days. The next trip is scheduled from June 23-27 and includes surf lessons, surfboard rental, accommodation (camp on the beach or opt for hotel stays), transport, meals, beach and social activities and a visit to the local turtle conservation hatchery. From Dh1,450 per person; call 04 304 8161 or email info@fahrenheitbeachsports.com.
