What is it: LE66 Champs Elysées is the big­gest bou­tique in Paris and now the own­ers have brought this French con­cept to the UAE (there are also stores in Riyadh and Beirut). It stocks men’s and women’s cloth­ing by over 150 in­ter­na­tional de­sign­ers, many of them French, of course, but also brands from the UK, US and Europe. Shop style: Mod­ern and airy with large glass doors. Sur­pris­ingly, it’s more Ara­bic in feel than French. Brands stocked: Alexan­der Wang, Ru­pert San­der­son, Bahraini sis­ter la­bel AKS, Mat­icevski, Toga, Forte Forte, Golden Goose and Each Other. What the founder says: Le66 was ‘not just to open a new store but to cre­ate a des­ti­na­tion for the most dis­cern­ing of shop­pers,’ says Mariam Al Hashemi of Dual In­vest­ments, the re­tail group that has the UAE fran­chise.
