It’s alright if you’re headed to Munich this summer and Guten Tag is the only German phrase you can manage: Just look for the Arabic Shopping Assistants. From July 24 until September 10, Munich Airport will offer Arabic-speaking personal shopping assistants on request at Terminal 2 – named the world’s best airport terminal in 2017 by air travel guide Skytrax. The assistants will be native Arabic speakers who will help passengers and sales staff in airport shops communicate with each other. They will also bring passengers up to speed with information on products and offers, sales tax refunds and customs formalities so retail-related queries aren’t lost in translation. The facility is free and will be provided to any Arabic-speaking guest who requests it at shops in Terminal 2. Visit munich-air
