The classes are for kids aged seven to 10 years and will be divided into French classes in the morning and activities (above) to help them to learn the language better, through movies, songs, books and board games. The Dubai Festival for Youth Theatre 2017 has launched a series of 10 academic workshops (right) that run from July until November. The classes, which cover several aspects of theatre and acting, will be conducted by experts from Cairo’s Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts. The Voice & Language for Actors & Presenters workshop will be held at Madinat Jumeirah Theatre, from July 10-13 by Professor Lyn Darnley; a workshop on Theatrical Costumes will be held at the Dubai Public Library’s Al Twar branch from July 16-23. The six-hour long workshops run from 4-10pm and are open to anyone who wants to strengthen their acting chops. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to take part.
The ice skating camp at Zayed Sports Academy is a cool way for cool kids to beat the summer heat. Age is no bar to learning – if you’re looking to pick up new skills this summer Warehouse421’s Summer Camps in Abu Dhabi have the perfect mix of activities for both kids and grown-ups.
