Shelley von Strunckel, one of the world’s top astrologers, writes a weekly forecast for Friday
Your stars for the week ahead.
ARIES MARCH 20 – APRIL 18
Having only recently clashed with others over who’s in charge of decisions at home or in your working life, you’re being unusually attentive to the way plans are organised. Still, you’re dealing with somebody who regards being underhand as ordinary. Knowing that, carefully detail, and perhaps even write out, any agreements. This may be tedious but it ensures there’ll be no confusion later.
TAURUS APRIL 19 – MAY 19
It’s not that you’ve been secretive as much as you’ve mistakenly assumed others have kept up with recent developments. Even a simple exchange of ideas will reveal how ill-informed they are, which, in turn, means you must educate them, but as diplomatically as possible. While this will require a Taurus-style charm offensive, and a lot of patience combined with tact, it will be worth the effort.
GEMINI MAY 20 – JUNE 20
Between the current powerful planetary focus in the wise use of your resources, which accents everything from your ideas and contacts to your money, and today’s emotionally unsettling Full Moon, you’re wrestling with a number of issues. Urgent as these seem, for now, focus on talking over your plans with those who matter. Everything else can wait.
CANCER JUNE 21 – JULY 21
When you first decided to sidestep perplexing issues, they weren’t that vital but, even more, you had no idea how to deal with them. Now, not only are these matters common knowledge, there’s considerable confusion about facts versus falsehoods. While raising these won’t be easy, it’s better than taking a chance others will believe some of the tall tales being told by certain individuals.
LEO JULY 22 – AUGUST 21
Acknowledging that, as much as you care about certain situations and the individuals involved, you’ve little control isn’t easy for you, as a proud Leo. Yet this also frees you to back off, and either allow those who can take the reins to do so or, and this may be best, recognise that there are times when you must leave matters in the hands of destiny.
VIRGO AUGUST 22 – SEPTEMBER 21
Between your ruler Mercury positioned in the most strategic portion of your chart, and Sunday’s Full Moon rousing vulnerable feelings about relations with family, friends or loved ones, you’re unsure what to do. In every case, the answer is to bide your time and instead wait and watch. What you learn will answer numerous questions and, better yet, guide you to your next step.
LIBRA SEPTEMBER 22 – OCTOBER 22
While you delight in hearing about what others are discovering, you’ve felt uneasy about exploring even minor changes. But with a growing emphasis on new ideas, places and people and Sunday’s Full Moon accenting the need to rethink your life, the time has come to consider your options. Although you won’t commit to anything right away, what you learn will be inspiring.
SCORPIO OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 21
Since mid-June you’ve been facing a combination of situations and, often, people, all of which have threatened to take over some portion of your life. While, you’ve fought these off, you’re beginning to recognise that what, only weeks ago, seemed totally unwise may actually be a good idea. Ironically, you’re welcoming events that are forcing you to give these serious time and thought.
SAGITTARIUS NOVEMBER 22 – DECEMBER 20
Few things irritate you more than those who seem to think behind the scenes manoeuvres give them more control and keep others, including you, from knowing what’s going on. Tempting as it is to confront the individuals in question, bide your time. Within days they’ll realise they don’t know as much as they thought, and will be forced by events to ask for your advice.
CAPRICORN DECEMBER 21 – JANUARY 18
As a down to earth Capricorn, you’re usually able to rein in the heightened feelings triggered by each month’s Full Moon. But because Sunday’s is in your sign, the odds are good you’ve been wrestling with both your own doubts and unspoken feelings, of both love and issues that involve others. Challenging as discussing these openly may be, ultimately, you’ll be glad you did.
AQUARIUS JANUARY 19 – FEBRUARY 17
The last thing you’re in the mood for is reassuring others while they struggle with dramas that, you think, would be regarded as breakthroughs, ones you’d rather enjoy exploring. While you’ll be tempted to tell them that now, obviously, you’d regret it. But, bizarrely, wait until mid-month, and they’ll not only see your point, to your delight, they’ll ask you to get involved.
PISCES FEBRUARY 18 – MARCH 19
You’ve faced a series of weeks during which you’ve witnessed once-prized elements of your life, activities or alliances come undone, and often without good reason. Now, however, you realise these so-called losses were actually clearing the way for the new, and often rather thrilling ideas currently coming your way. Promising as these are, don’t agree too soon. There’s more yet to appear. 13
