TAKE A NOTE
Calling all numismatics. Check out the world’s biggest banknote – it is seriously big, bigger than an A4 sheet of paper to be precise – that is on display at the Numisbing showroom in Deira on Al Maktoum Road. The note is one of the 1,000 notes that were printed by the Philippine Central Bank in 1998, to mark 100 years of independence and has the face value of 100,000 pesos (about Dh9,000). At the time, each note was sold to collectors for 180,000 pesos (Dh15,500). Since then however, its value has gone up to Dh146,000. From 10am to 7pm, Sunday to Thursday. Free entry, call 04 295 2578/056 2345 056 for details.
