All thoughts of cat-and-mouse chases will fly out of your head when ev­ery­one’s favourite lit­tle birdie and kitty – Tweety Pie the ca­nary and Sylvester the cat – swoop into Ibn Bat­tuta Mall from Au­gust 10-19. The beloved Looney Toons car­toons will make an ap­pear­ance at the Lit­tle Red Tweety Hood show in the mall as part of Dubai Sum­mer Sur­prises. The live stage show takes place thrice daily and in­cludes meet and greets with the char­ac­ters and arts and crafts projects that kids can par­tic­i­pate in be­fore or af­ter the show. It’s out of New York’s sew­ers and into Al Ain’s Bawadi Mall for the Teenage Mu­tant Ninja Tur­tles – a free stage show of the pop­u­lar car­toon called Tur­tle Power will keep kids en­tranced from Au­gust 9-12.

The Fu­jairah Ten­nis and Coun­try Club has a sum­mer camp run­ning for kids from Au­gust 7-10. With separate ses­sions for separate age groups, kids can pick up foot­ball, swim­ming, bad­minton, lan­guages like Ara­bic and Span­ish, arts and crafts such as t-shirt mak­ing and learn to bake piz­zas in the cook­ing classes. The Shar­jah Art Foun­da­tion’s free pot­tery course runs at the Al Ham­riya Art Cen­tre from Au­gust 6-31. Kids aged nine to 15 can learn shap­ing tech­niques us­ing minia­ture clay ropes and cre­ate vases whose sur­faces they will later sculpt. The course runs twice daily from 9am-12pm and 4.30-6.30pm.
