ZAHA HADID’S DUBAI HOTEL

Friday - - Travel -

While Cuba basks under the attention of new Meliá hotels, at home, Dubai’s first ME by Meliá is set to grace the emirate’s skyline in The Opus, a mixed-used development whose design was dreamed up by none other than the late architect Zaha Hadid; it marks her first Dubai project. The futuristic-looking Opus includes commercial office space, F&B outlets and nightclubs, apart from the hotel. If the renderings are anything to go by, the light-filled, 100-room hotel, set to open in September 2018, will be every bit artistic and mesmerising as the other UAE structure by the award-winning British-Iraqi architect: the Shaikh Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi.
