WAY TO GO
An innovative bike-sharing scheme was launched in Marrakech in time for last year’s Cop22. Medina Bike (medinabike.ma), run by charming Lebna Al Hakym, is Africa’s first bikesharing scheme. An ideal way to see the city and its lovely sights, tourists (and locals) can pick up a bike in one station, cycle across town and then leave it there and continue their journey. ‘We have to get people to pedal, not take the car, and that means local people, too,’ Lebna says.
