Make Smart , an inspirational music festival, will kick off in the UAE on September 29 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Aimed at the region’s youth, the line-up for the event features rapper and spoken word poet Prince Ea (below right), motivational speaker Jay Shetty, peak performance coach Jean-Pierre De Villiers and Emirati columnist Khalid Al Ameri (right), who will inspire the youth with thought-provoking speeches that cover a wide range of issues and skills – from decisionmaking and communication, to learning from experiences and social awareness. Lebanese pianist Philippe El Hage (below) will be performing at The Fridge, Al Serkal Avenue on September 25. The concert is part of The Fridge’s latest season of Concert Series and will see the well-travelled musician perform his original compositions that meld jazz, classical harmony, and oriental music.
