6 slider buns

2 chicken breasts

50g pick­les, sliced

For the mari­nade:

2 cloves gar­lic, chopped

10g onion pow­der

10g cumin pow­der

10g smoked sweet pa­prika

10g cin­na­mon pow­der

30g yoghurt, strained

20g tomato paste

½ lemon, juiced

30ml sun­flower oil

For the gar­lic may­on­naise:

50g may­on­naise

½ lemon, juiced

1 clove gar­lic, chopped

1) First, make your mari­nade. Chop the gar­lic and put into a small mix­ing bowl, along the spices, lemon, yoghurt and oil. Mix well, then add the tomato paste and a pinch of salt and pep­per, then mix un­til all is smooth. 2) Roughly cut each chicken breast into six even pieces, mix with the mari­nade and re­frig­er­ate for 30 min­utes. 3) Take four wooden skew­ers, pre-soaked in wa­ter, and skewer six pieces of chicken on to each skewer. Place them on a hot BBQ and cook for 12-15 min­utes, turn­ing reg­u­larly un­til cooked through. 4) Mix the may­on­naise in­gre­di­ents to­gether and chill un­til needed. 5) Take three slider buns still at­tached and cut them open, put your pick­les, gar­lic may­on­naise and shawarma skewer in­side, hold down the bread and pull out the skewer, leav­ing two pieces of chicken in each bun. Re­peat with the re­main­ing buns and serve.
