In a nutshell

Otherwise known as free running, parkour encourages children’s natural love of movement

How much?

Dhs120 per class, Dhs500 for five sessions

The lowdown

While children already see the world as a playground, Parkour DXB will help them do that in a safe, controlled way as the instructors teach them to run, jump, climb and balance from obstacle to obstacle. Classes are divided into Wallabies (three to four years old), Flying Squirrels (five to seven years old), Spider Monkeys (eight to ten years old), Thundercats (11 to 13 years olds) and Falcons (14 to 16 years old). There are weekend classes for families too, so parents can join in the fun.

Where and when

Age-specific classes take place from Sunday to Thursday between 4pm and 7.30pm, and on Saturdays between 9am and noon. Parkour DXB’s main studio is located in Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz, while classes are also run at Dubai British School in Jumeirah and Uptown School in Mirdif.
