Greg Day

Amer­i­can cy­ber se­cu­rity firm Palo Alto Net­works has ap­pointed Greg Day as vice pres­i­dent and re­gional chief se­cu­rity of­fi­cer for Europe, the Mid­dle East and Africa. Day will over­see the ex­pan­sion and se­cu­rity ini­tia­tives of the com­pany’s re­gional arm. With 25 years of ex­pe­ri­ence, Day has been cred­ited with de­vel­op­ing or­gan­i­sa­tions in their global risk and cy­ber strate­gies. He has pre­vi­ously served in se­nior po­si­tions at cy­ber se­cu­rity firms McAfee, Sy­man­tec and FireEye.

Dr Saleh al Hashemi

Abu Dhabi Fi­nan­cial Group has ap­pointed Dr Saleh Al Hashemi as manag­ing direc­tor and chief ex­ec­u­tive of­fi­cer of its cap­i­tal mar­ket busi­ness. Dr Al Hashemi has worked in se­nior lead­er­ship po­si­tions across the group’s busi­nesses, as well as govern­ment and academia. Re­cently he served as ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor of in­fra­struc­ture and en­vi­ron­ment at the gen­eral sec­re­tar­iat of Abu Dhabi’s Ex­ec­u­tive Coun­cil.

Carla Kof­fel

Pearl Ini­tia­tive – a busi­ness- led or­gan­i­sa­tion pro­mot­ing a cor­po­rate cul­ture of ac­count­abil­ity and trans­parency – has named Carla Kof­fel as its new ex­ec­u­tive direc­tor. In her new role Kof­fel will be re­spon­si­ble for fur­ther­ing the or­gan­i­sa­tion’s pro­grammes, which cover ar­eas in­clud­ing anti- cor­rup­tion and ethics. She will also drive growth by build­ing part­ner­ships with the re­gion’s pri­vate sec­tor, govern­ment stake­hold­ers and civil so­ci­ety or­gan­i­sa­tions.

Ah­met An­tepli

Asian hos­pi­tal­ity com­pany Dusit In­ter­na­tional has ap­pointed Ah­met An­tepli as gen­eral man­ager of the up­com­ing Dusit Ho­tel & Suites Doha. An­tepli is a vet­eran hote­lier with more than two decades of ex­pe­ri­ence in the hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try across the Mid­dle East and East­ern Europe. Born and raised in Doha, he has ex­pe­ri­ence of the mul­ti­cul­tural en­vi­ron­ment that is ex­pected to hold him in good stead for de­vel­op­ing busi­ness.
