American cyber security firm Palo Alto Networks has appointed Greg Day as vice president and regional chief security officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Day will oversee the expansion and security initiatives of the company’s regional arm. With 25 years of experience, Day has been credited with developing organisations in their global risk and cyber strategies. He has previously served in senior positions at cyber security firms McAfee, Symantec and FireEye.
Dr Saleh al Hashemi
Abu Dhabi Financial Group has appointed Dr Saleh Al Hashemi as managing director and chief executive officer of its capital market business. Dr Al Hashemi has worked in senior leadership positions across the group’s businesses, as well as government and academia. Recently he served as executive director of infrastructure and environment at the general secretariat of Abu Dhabi’s Executive Council.
Pearl Initiative – a business- led organisation promoting a corporate culture of accountability and transparency – has named Carla Koffel as its new executive director. In her new role Koffel will be responsible for furthering the organisation’s programmes, which cover areas including anti- corruption and ethics. She will also drive growth by building partnerships with the region’s private sector, government stakeholders and civil society organisations.
Asian hospitality company Dusit International has appointed Ahmet Antepli as general manager of the upcoming Dusit Hotel & Suites Doha. Antepli is a veteran hotelier with more than two decades of experience in the hospitality industry across the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Born and raised in Doha, he has experience of the multicultural environment that is expected to hold him in good stead for developing business.
