Aaron Che­hab

KBW In­vest­ments has ap­pointed Aaron Che­hab to the role of chief com­mer­cial of­fi­cer, mak­ing him re­spon­si­ble for driv­ing devel­op­ment and de­liv­ery of KBW’s growth strat­egy in the re­gion. Che­hab has 16 years of ex­pe­ri­ence, in­clud­ing a com­bi­na­tion of strate­gic busi­ness devel­op­ment and prac­ti­cal com­mer­cial man­age­ment of large-cale de­vel­op­ments within the GCC.

Chris Div­ito

Chris Div­ito has been named as Friends Prov­i­dent In­ter­na­tional’s new man­ag­ing direc­tor for the Mid­dle East and Africa. Div­ito joins FPI from the Dubai In­ter­na­tional Fi­nan­cial Cen­tre Au­thor­ity where he was se­nior vice president and head of wealth and as­set man­age­ment. He has also served as CEO of Stan­dard Life’s Mid­dle East busi­ness. Of the ap­point­ment, Div­ito said: “I am ab­so­lutely de­lighted to have the op­por­tu­nity to join FPI at what is a par­tic­u­larly ex­cit­ing time for the busi­ness, and for the life in­dus­try in the Mid­dle East in general.” Div­ito re­places out­go­ing MD Mar­cus Gent.

Hus­sein Kahil

Mil­len­nium Ho­tels and Re­sorts has ap­pointed Hus­sein Kahil as its vice president of op­er­a­tions, Mid­dle East and Africa. Re­port­ing di­rectly to COO Kevork Deldelian, Kahil will over­see ho­tel op­er­a­tions, prop­erty per­for­mance and owner en­gage­ment across the group’s cur­rent port­fo­lio of 32 ho­tels. The new VP has more than 20 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in op­er­a­tional lead­er­ship, most re­cently as se­nior direc­tor of Mid­dle East and Africa op­er­a­tions for the Wyn­d­ham Ho­tel Group, where he was re­spon­si­ble for more than 50 prop­er­ties. He has also worked in roles at Ac­corHo­tels, IHG and FRHI in Canada and the Mid­dle East.

CV Naveen Sharma

A new man­ag­ing com­mit­tee for 2017-2018 has been ap­pointed by the In­sti­tute of Char­tered Ac­coun­tants of India’s Dubai chap­ter, with CV Naveen Sharma an­nounced as the chair­man. The ICAI is the sec­ond largest ac­count­ing body in the world with over 250,000 mem­bers. The Dubai chap­ter is the largest over­seas chap­ter with more than 2,500 mem­bers. CA Mah­mood was named as vice chair­man, CA Anish Mehta as sec­re­tary, and CA Sun­dar Subra­ma­nian Nu­rani as trea­surer. A fur­ther five mem­bers were an­nounced as ex­ec­u­tive mem­bers of the man­ag­ing com­mit­tee.
