Man jailed for a month for exposing himself

court has sentenced a Delhi resident who exposed himself to a woman to a month behind bars, noting that a failure to punish such “lawless indecent behaviour” would encourage similar acts.

The court but did not order him to pay any compensation after the 25-year-old victim chose to forgive him.

“In the present case, the accused exhibited his private parts to the complainant with the intention that same be seen by her and thereby he has insulted modesty of a woman. The indecent act of the accused shows that he has no fear of law during broad daylight.” (PTI)
