Couple end life by jumping in front of a train

An unidentified couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a speeding local train in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas district yesterday, a police official said.

“A couple was run over by the Bongaon-Canning local near the 12 number rail gate in North 24 Pargana district’s Barasat railway station at around 12pm on Wednesday,” said a Government Railway Police officer.

“The man seemed to be around 30 years old, while the woman was in her early 20s,” he said. (IANS)
