Mum­bai-Goa train to of­fer vista views of West­ern Ghats

Rail trav­ellers from Mum­bai to Goa and back will en­joy an ex­cit­ing new ex­pe­ri­ence of watch­ing the scenic land­scape pass by through the glass-topped Vista dome of a coach that will be at­tached to the Dadar-MadgaonDadar Jan­shatabdi Ex­press from Mon­day on­wards.

Pas­sen­ger can gaze end­lessly at the panoramic views and lush green scenery of the West­ern Ghats as the coach will have wide win­dow­panes and the roof of the glass can be­comes ei­ther trans­par­ent or translu­cent with just the click of a switch, ac­cord­ing to a Cen­tral Rail­way spokesper­son.

It will have an ex­clu­sive glass ob­ser­va­tion lounge to al­low un­in­ter­rupted sight­see­ing. Some spe­cial fea­tures in­clude LED lights, GPS-based in­for­ma­tion sys­tem, mul­ti­ple tele­vi­sion screens, elec­tri­cally op­er­ated sliding com­part­ment doors.
