19-year-old visitor missing for 17 days
Pakistani youth is on a visit to see his father and uncle in Ajman
A19-year-old visitor from Pakistan has been missing from Ajman since November 20, his uncle told Gulf News on Wednesday.
Mohammad Abdullah, also known as Usman, left the apartment he was staying in the industrial area of Ajman early morning that day without a word, said his paternal uncle, Mohammad Ashraf.
Ashraf said they have registered a missing person complaint with the police.
“He wasn’t upset and there had been no quarrels. Usman is a very social and friendly young man. He was visiting us here from Pakistan for a second time. He doesn’t know anyone here well. We checked with all our sources, the police and hospitals but there’s no sign of him. His father and I are very concerned,” said Ashraf.
“Usman’s mobile phone and SIM card fell in the water a day or two before he disappeared so he has no local number here.” Ashraf said Usman is the only brother of four sisters in Pakistan and had come to the UAE to visit his father and him.
Ajman Police told Gulf News that they are investigating the case and have posted the youth’s picture on their social media channels asking people to help them locate him.
