Fi­nan­cial sup­port from foun­da­tion

To date, Al Jalila Foun­da­tion has in­vested Dh7.5 mil­lion in treat­ing 86 can­cer pa­tients from the ages of two to 90 and in­vested Dh9 mil­lion into 33 can­cer re­search pro­grammes.

A spokesper­son said the foun­da­tion was ded­i­cated to fund­ing re­search vi­tal to de­crease the in­ci­dences of pae­di­atric can­cer and, ul­ti­mately, find­ing a cure. With the help and en­gage­ment of the com­mu­nity, the foun­da­tion could im­prove the lives of chil­dren in the UAE. Mengsitu Beshir Shere, who works in the labour depart­ment, told

Gulf News that he and his wife were dev­as­tated when Euale was di­ag­nosed with leukaemia. “I am thank­ful that Al Jalila Foun­da­tion stepped in to bear the cost of his treat­ment. Our lives have been for­ever changed and we are so grate­ful that our beau­ti­ful boy has re­gained his health.”
