Lemartinel bids to regain crown

The spotlight will be on Eric Lemartinel in the Shaikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown, the richest race for Purebred Arabians, on the six-race card to be held at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Cup today.

Bidding to regain that title, Lemartinel is double handed in the Dh5 million Group 1 contest. With Mawahib and RB Burn in fray, he is pretty confident about scripting a victory. RB Burn will be ridden by Pat Cosgrave, who replaced the UAE champion jockey Tadhg O’Shea at the Al Asayl Stables.
