The TECOM Group has an­nounced de­tails of its lat­est in­no­va­tion cen­tre for Dubai’s de­sign and fash­ion in­dus­try.

in5 is lo­cated within Dubai De­sign District (d3) and aims to pro­vide in­dus­try-fo­cused train­ing and men­tor­ship to mem­bers, along with dy­namic co-work­ing spa­ces, of­fices and com­mu­nity ar­eas that in­spire and en­cour­age cre­ativ­ity.

It will also be home to a unique pro­to­typ­ing lab of­fer­ing 3D print­ers, elec­tron­ics and mod­ern machin­ery for de­sign­ers work­ing with met­als, wood, plas­tics and tex­tiles.

Mem­bers will also have ac­cess to a li­brary of raw ma­te­ri­als and de­sign work sta­tions where con­cepts can be de­vel­oped into pro­to­types.
