Harrods’ Head of Interior Design, Letitia Taylor, answers some questions about the famed store’s VIP exhibit and launches at INDEX.
What will the customer experience be in the VIP lounge? Guests will be transported to into the heart of a lush tropical oasis. By using an exciting mix of organic materials, Harrods Interiors will create a sensory feast for our guests, with the design incorporating all key interior and design trends. What will the focus at INDEX be for Harrods Interiors? Most recently, Harrods Interiors has designed the Harrods of London furniture collection, our first range of furniture, launching this year. We will be unveiling a selection of these exciting new pieces at the VIP Suite at INDEX, making this the first time that these pieces have been shown outside London. We have also collaborated with de Gournay, the pre-eminent creators of bespoke, hand-painted wallpaper, to create an exclusive range of wallpaper inspired by the renowned interior design of Harrods. Drawing on our Art Deco architecture, this collection has been made with new and innovative techniques, and will be sold exclusively at Harrods for a limited period. Guests at the INDEX VIP suite will be the first to view this exciting collaboration. What is the call to action? Those visitors who purchase a scheme from the Harrods Interiors Furniture Service will receive a complimentary accessory package, expertly curated by one of our designers.
