Style notes This recently renovated grand chalet, built in the 1980s, makes the most of the stunning scenery with expansive windows and seven storeys of balconies. The interior is a mix of traditional patterns and contemporary styles: panelled walls, painted in deep moody shades are offset with a wealth of textures and patterns – from checked bed linen and tartan wool throws to crushed velvet upholstery and leather ottomans. A variety of lighting, including contemporary glass pendants and wall-mounted anglepoise, create pools of light in the rooms, adding to the sense of cosiness and comfort.

Nestled among the peaks of the glorious Swiss Alps, and sitting 1,111 metres above sea level near Gstaad, this classic Alpine chalet is a cosy mountain hideaway.
